The overwhelming response to the summit was evident in the 4,000+ registrations and the actual attendance exceeding 4,300. This enthusiastic turnout demonstrated the gaming industry’s keen interest in Web3 gaming and the high expectations surrounding the event.
On the first day of the summit, morning sessions focused on the Linea gaming ecosystem, organized by Linea, DeGame, and Particle Network. The afternoon featured the hackathon finals hosted by ABGA and collaborators, showcasing innovative gaming products from the top 10 teams.
Throughout the day, experts from both Web2 and Web3 sectors shared their perspectives on topics such as blockchain technology in Web3 games and transitioning from Web2 to Web3 gaming. Notable presentations included Dreams Quest CEO Steve Good unveiling an open-world action-adventure RPG game, and Mars Protocol Co-founder Carol Wang discussing Ethereum’s centralization issues.
Lester Li, founder of DeGame, highlighted the evolving Web3 gaming infrastructure, driven by dedicated blockchain game engines, enhanced efficiency, and reduced transaction costs. He also predicted rapid growth in the Web3 gaming market.
Day 2 of the summit focused on innovation and discussion. Hara, CEO of Jasmy Labs, introduced the Jasmy platform’s core objectives, including the construction of an Ethereum-based Layer 2 Jasmy Chain for enhanced scalability. Jake Liu, CFO of Planet Hares, discussed extending game lifecycles through Web3 mechanisms, emphasizing token economics and dual-token models.
Other important topics covered during the summit included the importance of making Web3 games enjoyable and competitive, the benefits of multi-chain infrastructure for blockchain games, and the challenges of transitioning from Web2 to Web3 gaming.
Several roundtable discussions took place to explore the future of Web3 gaming. These discussions covered topics such as game wallets, NFT standards, game genres, venture capital demand, and the role of public chains in supporting the gaming ecosystem.
In addition to the informational sessions, ThreeDAO launched its Creator Training Camp during the summit. Over 50 creators will receive guidance from industry leaders and embark on a Web3 journey.
