Mythical Games, the developer behind Blankos Block Party and NFL Rivals, has recently launched a new game called Nitro Nation World Tour (NNWT). This free-to-play mobile drag racing game features licensed cars from luxury brands like McLaren, Aston Martin, and Jaguar.
In NNWT, players can compete against each other in real-time races or play through the game’s campaign mode after customizing and upgrading their cars. The game offers a wide range of cars to choose from, including models from Volkswagen, Subaru, RUF, Lotus, Pagani, Saleen, and KTM. Mythical Games collaborated with CM Games, the original maker of the Nitro Nation game released in 2014, to publish NNWT.
Electronic musician Joel “Deadmau5” Zimmerman, who has previously launched his own NFTs, is also promoting the game. He will be using NNWT visuals in his upcoming tour starting in Tokyo, Japan. Deadmau5, a known supercar fan himself, previously had a legal dispute with Ferrari in 2014 over his Nyan Cat-themed wrap for his Ferrari 458 Italia Spider.
In Nitro Nation World Tour, Deadmau5 is lending his moniker to a themed in-game car, and players will have the opportunity to win this exclusive car by participating in a Deadmau5 racing event. This collaboration follows Deadmau5’s previous partnership with Mythical Games on in-game content for Blankos Block Party.
Commenting on the game, Deadmau5 expressed his excitement and love for technology, stating that “music is 80% fun and 20% work” while video games are all about fun. He hopes that players will enjoy the game as much as he has.
Nitro Nation World Tour also features NFTs (non-fungible tokens) on Mythical’s Mythos blockchain. In addition to car NFTs, players have the option to purchase an NFT of their “Workshop,” which can be upgraded and come in different rarity levels. These NFTs allow players to boost different stats of their cars compared to the free version.
The game is available for free on iOS and Android devices and has already garnered over 100,000 downloads on Google’s Play Store during its soft launch period. With its licensed luxury cars, exciting racing gameplay, and support from renowned artists like Deadmau5, Nitro Nation World Tour promises an engaging and thrilling experience for mobile gamers.
