The Future Blockchain Summit 2023 has begun in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, bringing together experts, innovators, and enthusiasts from the global blockchain and crypto community. This premier event aims to showcase the latest developments in blockchain technology and its potential applications.
With over 150 exhibitors and participants from more than 50 countries, the summit highlights Dubai’s position as a leading hub for blockchain and crypto. The event features a diverse agenda focused on various aspects of the blockchain industry, including entertainment in the Web3 space, gaming in the GCC region, and the power of artificial intelligence (AI).
One of the key sessions on day one was a keynote address by Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman of Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, who spoke about attracting global gaming and Web3 talent to Dubai. He praised the UAE leadership’s commitment to the development of blockchain and its application in both public and private sectors. Sulayem also emphasized the importance of regulatory policies that strike a balance between freedom and confidence for crypto firms to operate.
The Web3 Arena session focused on the potential of Web3 technologies in the gaming industry. Experts, including Pavel Kasperovich from Boston Consulting Group and John Lacey from Tencent Games Global, discussed the gaming industry’s growth in the GCC region, particularly in Abu Dhabi. Lacey highlighted Abu Dhabi’s unique approach of nurturing talent in eSports and start-ups, creating an environment that fosters growth and connections.
The summit also emphasized the role of government support in the gaming sector. Pavel Kasperovich acknowledged that government intervention is crucial for the success of the gaming industry. Beyond financial aid, governments can simplify processes such as visa acquisition, establish tax incentives, and provide necessary infrastructure, creating an ecosystem that encourages and sustains the industry’s development.
Artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential in the Web3 world were also highlighted during the event. Emil Jimenez, the founder and CEO of MindBank Ai, discussed the future of AI and its impact on digital twins. He showcased the progress of MindBank Ai through an interview with his own digital twin. The event further explored how AI has transformed the music industry, with experts Fernando Garibay and OG Arabian Prince discussing the creative process and the role of AI.
The Future Blockchain Summit continues for three more days, providing a platform for industry leaders and innovators to collaborate, inspire, and drive transformative change in the blockchain and crypto space.
