First look at Samsung Galaxy A26 design

AH Samsung Galaxy A26 exclusive design leak 2

Samsung is planning to launch a new Galaxy A series smartphone in the near future, and we are here to reveal its design, basically. We’ll provide you with a first look at the Samsung Galaxy A26, as we managed to get our hands on some CAD-based renders.

This is your first look at the Samsung Galaxy A26 design

If you check out the gallery below the article, you’ll be able to see this device. There is also a video placed below too, which will show you all sides of the device. You’ll notice that it has a flat display, with a waterdrop notch at the top. Its bottom bezel is considerably thicker than the rest of them.

On the back, three cameras are located in the top-left corner. They’re vertically aligned, and the LED flash sits right next to that camera island. The camera island does stick out on the back, a bit. The front and the back sides of the phone are flat, as expected.

That flatness does extend to the phone’s sides too, though. What’s interesting, however, is that not all of its sides will be equally flat. The portion where the power/lock and volume rocker buttons are located will protrude a bit and have some curvature to it.

It will feature a ‘Key Island’ on the right

Those buttons are located on the left-hand side of the phone. This is a similar approach to what Samsung did with the Galaxy A16 4G and 5G phones. It’s an interesting approach and will make finding the buttons immensely easy. That portion of the phone is called the ‘Key Island’.

The phone’s SIM card slot will be accessible from the left side, as it’s placed towards the top. If you were hoping to see an audio jack on the device, well, it won’t be there. You will be able to use its Type-C port to connect your headphones, though.

In regards to build materials, we’re still not sure. The Samsung Galaxy A25, which launched last year, offered a plastic frame and a plastic backplate. It’s possible Samsung will stick to those materials here, and not upgrade to metal and glass. We’ll see.

Here are its rough dimensions

We also know that the display will measure approximately 6.64 inches in diagonal, and measure roughly 164 x 77.5 x 7.7mm (9.7mm including the camera bump). Do note that these are only rough numbers based on CAD renders. It’s also worth noting that if we count the ‘Key Island’ into the measurements, the phone ends up being 77.9mm wide.

What else is there to say? Well, the Galaxy A26 did surface on Geekbench about a month ago. That listing showed us that the phone will be fueled by the Exynos 1280 chip. It will also offer 6GB of RAM and ship with Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI skin on top of it.

Once it launches, this phone will also be quite affordable. Its predecessor was priced at $299.99 in the US. We’re expecting a similar price tag for the Galaxy A26.
