Aptos Labs and Universal Pictures have joined forces to create an immersive fan experience for the upcoming film, “Exorcist: Believer.” This collaboration is built on the Aptos blockchain, allowing fans not only to watch the movie but also to participate as virtual cast members.
“Exorcist: Believer” is the next chapter in the horror classic franchise and is set to premiere in theaters on October 6. The web3 experience, as announced on Thursday, will give fans the opportunity to win various Exorcist: Believer-themed prizes.
The film is produced by Blumhouse, a renowned horror film production company, alongside Morgan Creek Entertainment and directed by David Gordon Green, known for his work on the Halloween franchise.
Aptos Labs, in a press release shared with NFTgators, revealed some of the exciting experiences fans can expect from the immersive fan experience. These include horrific and fun filters, digital art, incorporation of movie plot points, and real-world prizes.
The partnership also includes ticketing company Fandango, allowing fans to purchase tickets and gain access to the digital experience. Upon ticket purchase, fans will receive a redemption code that grants them exclusive artwork, behind-the-scenes footage, and the ability to use augmented reality filters.
