Ben ‘BitBoy’ Armstrong arrested on livestream over Lambo dispute

Crypto Influencer Ben Armstrong Arrested While Livestreaming at Former Associate’s House

Crypto influencer Ben Armstrong, also known as “BitBoy,” made headlines recently when he was reportedly arrested while livestreaming outside the house of a former business associate. Armstrong claimed that his Lamborghini was in the possession of this associate, and he decided to confront him during a livestream on YouTube.

Before the stream, Armstrong teased his followers with a tweet stating that he would be going live soon from a special location. Less than an hour later, he was livestreaming himself at the residence of Carlos Diaz, a consultant and nonfungible token investor with alleged links to the Hit Network.

During the livestream, Armstrong went on a tirade, claiming that Diaz wanted to kill him and accusing him of having ties with the Houston mafia. He shouted, “I’m not scared of you, Carlos.” The entire stream lasted for 37 minutes and captured the intense confrontation between Armstrong and Diaz.

At around the 19-minute mark, local police arrived at the scene and asked Armstrong if he had a weapon on him, to which he denied. He was then instructed to put down his phone, and the stream abruptly ended. However, audio from a conversation between Armstrong and the police officers can still be heard for the remaining 17 minutes.

According to the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia, Benjamin Charles Armstrong was booked on September 25 at 9:11 pm local time and is currently incarcerated. This confirms the reports of Armstrong’s arrest.

Diaz took to Twitter to post a confirmation that Armstrong had indeed shown up at his house. Meanwhile, blockchain sleuth “ZachXBT” expressed satisfaction at seeing Armstrong face consequences, calling it karma for one of the most notorious bad actors in the crypto industry.

This incident comes after the Hit Network, which controls the “BitBoy Crypto” brand, severed ties with Armstrong in late August. The network cited issues related to substance abuse and financial harm to employees as the reasons for their decision. Since then, lawsuits have been filed and retracted by various parties involved, causing further controversy and damage to Armstrong’s reputation.

Armstrong’s legal battles have intensified, and he even appealed for donations to help cover his expenses. However, this request received criticism from the crypto community, further tarnishing his image.

The arrest of Ben Armstrong while livestreaming at his former associate’s house has sparked widespread discussion and speculation within the crypto community. As the story continues to unfold, it remains to be seen what the consequences will be for Armstrong and how this incident will impact his career in the crypto industry.
