Since its inception in 2022, ChatGPT has initiated an unparalleled surge in AI-generated content on the internet, marking an increase of over 8,000%, a recent study by Copyleaks reveals. Conducted from 2013 up to March 2024, this research highlights a staggering 8,362% influx in AI-based content following the release of ChatGPT-3.5 in November 2022. According to the analysis, 1.57% of over one million web pages now contain content created by AI, a significant milestone given the relatively short period AI technologies have been accessible for wide-scale use.
