Ibiza NXT, the renowned blockchain conference, is returning for its third edition from October 4th to 6th on the beautiful island of Ibiza. Known as the “White Island,” Ibiza has been undergoing a transformation to become a blockchain hub, focusing on connectivity, scalability, and sustainability within its community. This year’s conference will delve into the convergence of purpose and technology, exploring how Web3 and blockchain innovation can elevate various aspects of our lives.
The conference will focus on the evolution of Web3, with particular emphasis on trends in NFTs, the Metaverse, DeFi, and DAOs. However, it will also explore other relevant topics, including the relationship between blockchain and AI technologies, physical asset tokenization, new synergies between blockchain and sustainability, and the transformative influence of blockchain on our daily lives. In addition, the conference will highlight the role of women in the industry, provide insights into career development in technology, and address the challenges that can arise when technology loses sight of its original purpose.
Ibiza NXT 2023 will offer free admission, although registration is required due to limited spots. The event is organized by Ibiza Token, a project dedicated to educating citizens, companies, and institutions about the potential of new technologies. It is supported by the City of Ibiza, the University of the Balearic Islands, and the Federation of Small-Midsize Enterprises of Ibiza and Formentera. The conference will take place at three main venues. The morning sessions will be held at The Hub.Ibiza, a community-focused venue that acts as a hub for creatives, entrepreneurs, and executives. The evening sessions on the 4th and 5th of October will take place at the Baluarte of Sant Pere, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a historic fortress. On the evening of the 6th of October, the event will be held at the Ebusus Sociedad Cultural, an iconic venue established in 1927.
The conference format will consist of two distinct moments. The morning sessions will feature thought-provoking panels, inspiring talks, and the unveiling of cutting-edge innovations and use cases. The evening sessions will focus on personal narratives, allowing artists, entrepreneurs, and academics to share their visions of the future. These sessions will also include NFT art exhibitions, DJ sets, live music performances, and more.
The conference will feature a lineup of speakers who are experts and visionaries in the blockchain industry. Among the speakers are Bruce Sterling, an influential novelist and founder of the Cyberpunk movement; Alex Nascimento, Managing Director at 7CC Investments and co-founder of Blockchain at UCLA; and Jasmina Tešanović, an author, activist, and artist.
In addition to the main conference, there will be side events taking place at the Baluarte de Sant Pere, featuring NFT art exhibitions, DJ sets, live music, and artistic performances. The conference will conclude with an event at Amnesia Ibiza, one of the world’s most renowned clubs, in collaboration with DJenerates and KlubCoin.
