Manchester City and Power of Women have come together once again to launch their annual collection of digital artwork to celebrate International Women’s Day and the start of the Women’s Super League Season 2023-24. This collaboration is part of Manchester City’s Same City, Same Passion campaign, which aims to promote women’s football by showcasing the skills, excitement, and passion of female players.
The first piece in this dynamic digital art collection is titled “Same City, Same Passion” and features visually stunning and thought-provoking artwork created by Power of Women. This artwork will alternate between two iconic designs, “Same City” and “Same Passion,” on weekends when WSL games are played throughout the season.
This collection follows the success of the “I am EMPOWERED” collection, which was launched by Power of Women and Manchester City on International Women’s Day in March 2023. The “I am EMPOWERED” collection celebrated the diversity and passion of women in football and aimed to inspire younger players.
In addition to promoting women’s football, this collaboration also supports a good cause. Power of Women and Manchester City’s official charity, City in the Community, will each receive a portion of the sales from the limited-time open edition of “Same City, Same Passion.” This means collectors not only get to own a unique piece of digital artwork but also contribute to a worthy cause.
For those who have collected all five digital works from the “I am EMPOWERED” collection, there is an added bonus: they will receive a free airdrop of “Same City, Same Passion.” This incentive encourages collectors to complete the collection and rewards their dedication.
The digital artworks in this collection will be minted with 0.03 ETH + gas, starting from October 1 and ending on October 4. At the time of writing, 96 NFTs have already been minted, and there is a limit of up to 50 NFTs per wallet. The total supply will be determined once minting concludes on October 4, as this is a time-limited open edition.
