About the Author

Jennifer Maziad is a board-certified anesthesiologist and practices both adult and pediatric anesthesia. She also serves as a clinical associate professor for a medical school and enjoys teaching and mentoring. She wrote this story as a way for young children, including her own, to prepare for their first surgical experience.
