About the Actor

Vince Spadea picked up his first tennis racket when he was only 3 years of age and has never looked back. Proclaimed a tennis prodigy at age 6, Vince entered his first junior tournament and won the event! Vince has been winning ever since. As a teenager he continued to stand out as a star tennis player, and by the time Vince became 18 he captured the coveted Orange Bowl Tennis tournament whose past teen title winners included future superstars Roger Federer, Ivan Lendl, Andy Roddick and John McEnroe. Spadea turned pro in 1993 and spent 18 years on the ATP Pro Tour reaching a career high in the ATP race position of World # 10 in April 2003. Spadea achieved a career high ATP ranking of World # 18 in February 2005. He has career prize money earnings of over $5,000,000 and has ATP single wins over the game s biggest names including Roger Federer, James Blake, Michael Chang, Pete Sampras, Rafa Nadal, Patrick Rafter, Marat Safin, Jim Courier and Andre Agassi. As a competitor Spadea was known for his excellent tennis shot making technique and fierce tenacity on the court. In 2004 he won the ATP Scottsdale, Arizona Franklin Templeton Classic beating Andy Roddick and James Blake along the way before defeating Germany s Nicolas Kiefer for the title. Spadea has reached the quarter finals of the 1999 Australian Open and is a 2 time Olympian team member having played in 2000/Sydney and 2004/Athens Games.
