Product Description
‘Circuits I Have Known’ is a simplified approach to explaining analog circuits that the author has found both interesting and worth sharing with engineers or with anyone who has an interest in electronics. In addition, there are CPLD programming tips, PID control loop tuning tips and how to use digital devices in analog applications. The book has been written in a very interesting, one-on-one style that makes relating to the material quite easy. The mathematics found in this book has been kept as simple as possible. A few of the circuit explanations do require entry level Calculus but most require only a basic knowledge of calculator math and Algebra. The inclusion of interesting stories that are based upon the author’s personal observations and experiences in the industry serve as both informative lessons and familiar situations to which anyone who works for a living can relate.
About the Author
About the Author Ron Parker’s interest in electronics began when he was fourteen years old. He has been in electronics ever since and has seen the evolution of the field from electron tubes to present day microprocessors. Ron is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Connecticut. He received his BSEE from the University of New Haven and his MSEE from R.P.I. (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) at Hartford. He also possesses several F.C.C. licenses. These include the General Radio-telephone, the First Class Radiotelegraph and the Amateur Extra Class (call sign KDIL). His love for electronic design began when he built his first Heathkit radio and used it to acquire a radio amateur novice license. While in the U.S. Army, Ron received Radar training. After completing his service, he started a television and electronics repair business. He later went to work for IBM where he trained as a computer engineer. He then continued to work in industry. His electronic design experience in industry runs the gamut from sensors to motor controllers. He has had positions that have ranged from Electronic Technician to Engineering Manager, but interest has always been in electronic design with his favorite being analog circuit design. His straight-forward style makes this a good read.
