Connemara Ireland Cycling Scenery DVD

This is the third in our new series of Virtual Jog / Bike Ride DVDs with a 62 minute widescreen virtual tour along the Sky Road on the scenic Connemara coastline in the western part of County Galway in Ireland. Filmed at speeds of 12 to 15 mph, it’s the perfect accessory for your treadmill, spinner, recumbent or upright bike. A large part of this virtual experience DVD takes place beside the Lough (Lake) Corrib, in the heart of the Gaeltacht region of Ireland, where the indigenous Gaelic language is still spoken. As you begin your ride or jog, you will notice the dramatic skyline and the lush vegetation along your route. And in early May, when this virtual experience DVD was filmed, the Connemara greenscape is at its most brilliant. Soon after your virtual trip begins, you pass through the little town of Clifden, generally regarded as the capital of the Connemara region. After leaving Clifden, you turn onto the magnificent and aptly named Sky Road, the high road which rims the inlet of Clifden Bay and offers the jogger or cyclist a series of visual treats. Your cardio workout is handsomely rewarded when you reach the apex of the Sky Road. Here, at the top of the Irish World, you can enjoy the majesty of the view down on Streamstown Bay, an inlet of the North Atlantic. Your tour of the Sky Road continues until you eventually return to Clifden, where your 62 minute Virtual Jog / Bike Ride ends.
