FRANCIS CLINTON: A Buffalo Soldier, and American Hero

This book is about my great grandfather Francis Clinton that was one of the original Buffalo Soldiers. The Francis Clinton story exists today only because my family kept his legacy alive by telling and retelling his story to the different generations through word of mouth. Stories about him as a famous Buffalo Soldier were told and passed down from generation to generation by family members. I am forever grateful that Gramma Clara and my mother Cleo shared his story among our family. Otherwise, we would not have known anything about him. Francis Clinton played a very important role in the American military and the history of America and was never given credit for his contributions nor mentioned in any history books. Through a tremendous amount of research and miles and miles of traveling, I was able to gather information on the life of Francis Clinton to write this book. Francis served in the US Navy and with the United States 10th Cavalry, Company E, as one of the original famous Buffalo Soldiers. The heroic Buffalo Soldiers contributed to American History by shaping the Western Frontier.
