Continuing where Part ONE ended, the former Marcus Quintus Valeria has been sold to the Praetorian Guard Bordello as a sex slave. During his final hour at the Palace, the sex-slave saves the lives of three Guards who were ordered to use him while Nero watched. Because of this, the three decide to protect the new sex-slave even from the Emperor’s and his henchman.
Arriving at the Bordello, one of the guards Marcus saved shares what happened at the Palace with others. Then the naked slave is placed in the front Bordello Cubicle. His oil lamp, indicating he is open for business, is lit.
By the next morning, his three protectors have come up with an idea. Centurian Acaius Sophus, who has fallen in love with Marcus, is brought in on the plan. With the arrival of his first customer, the operation to gain the new sex-slaves freedom begins.
Over the next month, many Praetorian Guards hear the growing story of how Marcus saved the lives of three of their number. He takes on an almost mythical position in their eyes. Yet all the time, orders from the Palace arrive, demanding he service at least one guard every hour, day and night.
Meanwhile, other issues concerning Nero’s reign are developing. The Senate questions his ability to rule the Empire. Even though many senators owe their positions to Nero, and others face ongoing blackmail by the Emperor and Senator Janus, the resistance in this august body strengthens.
The two sequences of events come together one night when the Prefect, Primus Pilus, and the sex-slave, formerly a patrician, are ordered to the Palace. There it is the intention of Marcus’ former paterfamilias, Senator Janus, and the Emperor to have him finally fucked to death.
Once in the presence of the Emperor and the two Senators, things change. The Prefect of the Praetorian Guards manages to save Marcus’ life through clever manipulation of tradition and the law. As the party escapes from the Palatine Hill, they receive word that the Senate has voted Nero “an enemy of the Senate and People of Rome.”
As such, Nero can be killed by anyone. After the deed, the individual will receive a reward for fulfilling their duty as a public-minded citizen. The only problem is the oath the Praetorian Guard has taken to Nero.
