About the Author

Mariusz Krzysztofek, PhD habil. in Laws (dr hab.), att., is a Director, Data Protection Officer – EMEA, and Privacy Counsel at a global nutrition company based in Los Angeles. Before, he worked for major international groups in the financial sector as a DPO as well as an Expert for the Big Four. He authored six books and dozens of articles on privacy and personal data protection. A lecturer on privacy and personal data protection courses at the Jagiellonian University Law School, University of Southern California Law School, SGH Warsaw School of Economics, he was honoured as ‘Exemplary Lecturer’ of 20 years of the Warsaw Institute of Banking. He was awarded a medal for an educational activity for banks by the Polish Bank Association. He was an expert for the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Digital Affairs of Poland and on business TV channels.
