An excellent Richard Oswald historical pageant film, boasting the services of Albert Bassermann Oaul Wegener, Alexander Granach, Heinrich George, Wilhelm Dieterle, Anita Berber, Conrad Veidt and Liane Haid in the title role. Patriarch Rodrigo Borgia, Pope Alexander VI, has three children the virtuous Juan, the lovely Lucrezia and the wicked Cesare. Incited by his incestuous love for Lucrezia, Cesare has vowed to kill any suitor for her love. His loyal henchman carry out his dark desire and few are safe from his twisted passions and bloodlust.
