Masks are about giving the gift of health to others. Nothing more Santa than giving.  

Hopefully we can dig this book out of our garage in 20 years and think back on the craziness of this year. Until then, have a safe holiday everyone.

Thank you for writing such a nice book about Santa and wearing a mask. My son is 7 and was worried about Christmas this year. Today is December 1st so his elf on the shelf ( Jack ) came today and brought my son this book from “Santa”.  He feels better knowing that Santa will also be safe this coming Christmas too.

I am a Santa that loves books. One of my regular parties is with the families of Alaska Airlines. This year I am unable to see the kids in person, so they would like to do a virtual party. They wondered if I could read a book to the children – specifically Santa’s Christmas with a Mask.

This year, Covid affected the world. Lots of people are dying. Several are in quarantine! Kids are asked to wear masks to protect themselves. Obviously, it is not fun to wear masks. It is hard. And, everyone feels anxious wearing it.

This book is an attempt to relax that anxiety… To feel safe… To feel loved by Santa… To cheer up the kids during this festive season… To tell them that Santa will come – come what may!I wrote this book to show that the Human race is so powerful. We all work together as one team to overcome any challenge thrown at us.I’m glad that Santas reached out to me asking permission to read this book to kids on their virtual visits. The book helped them explain how Santa’s year has been!At the same time, the book has received criticism – “masks should not be normalized”. I hear you and I believe everyone has good intentions. A lot of people are suffering and the cover page of the book has triggered negative thoughts. I wanted to clarify that my intentions are not to normalize mask but to reduce anxiety about it.

This Christmas, I pray for a healthy and safe world. And, I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas!
