The B-29 Superfortress, an American-built heavy bomber introduced in 1943, was a popular Allied weapon most recognizable as the aircraft that dropped the atomic bombs over Japan in August of 1945. Stationed in Okinawa with the 19th BG, the “Raz’n Hell” B-29A Superfortress flew more than 50 combat missions during the Korean War. Part of the exciting new Smithsonian Series from Air Force 1, this 1/300 scale, die cast model is a replica of the legendary “Raz’n Hell” featuring engraved panel lines, rotating propellers, authentic markings, and a metal display base. Measures approximately 4″ long with a 5½” wingspan.
