The Starrett 1263 series stainless steel micrometer head has a vernier scale in inch units for taking precise measurements to 1”, and is made of stainless steel with a satin rust- and glare-resistant finish. It also has a knurled ring-type lock nut to hold measurements in place. The micrometer has a plain stem for mounting in a fixture with a split-body clamp or setscrew. The vernier scale is graduated to 0.001” or 0.0001” depending on the model.
