Therecipes in STEVE AND JANNIE’S HOMECOOKIN’ RECIPES are the ones my husband, Steve, and I use on a daily basis. Wehave tested them carefully. However, everyone’s taste preferences are uniqueand vary over time, and so we invite you to tweak our recipes to your liking.  Steveand I prefer to keep sugar and fats to a minimum, and our recipes reflect that.We also have a preference for a wide variety of vegetables. We think cooking isfun, creative, and satisfying. I hope you read through this cookbook, selectsome recipes, and enjoy the anecdotal comments.

About the Author

Janice Lynn Ross loves nature, literature, art, music, museums, history, genealogy, traveling, and more. She grew up in Southern California. At age twenty, she moved to the Bay Area where she lived for three decades–as a student, preschool teacher, secretary, sales and marketing analyst, and public school elementary teacher.

Janice holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley; an MBA in Marketing from Golden Gate University; and a teaching certificate from San Jose State University.

Janice is the author of Crepes and Coyotes and Other Tales, which is the companion book to this cookbook. She has also authored Like Water from a Spring: Poems, Stories, Reflections, and Pencil Scratches from a Long-Forgotten Box.
 

Janice and her husband, Steve, have lived in Arizona and Montana, but now call Florida home.
