SURVIVAL MINDSET
SURVIVAL MINDSET is a guide on what to do when things go wrong – planning and preparation for emergency situations, natural disasters and civil unrest. In presenting safety, security and survival information, a primal approach is taken; that is, humankind in nature. The natural, animal side has not left us – man is still a wild animal. The primitive, natural side is always there in our daily existence, in everything we do – every observation and gut reaction – whether one is aware of it or not.
This guide focuses on skills required for post-natural disaster survival (survival in place) as well as wilderness survival incidents. Emphasis is placed on shelter, food and water, signaling, navigation and primitive medicine; skills that will get you out of whatever challenging situation you find yourself in and safely back to home, sooner than later. The intent of SURVIVAL MINDSET is to impart a safety, security and survival mindset as a strong foundation for personal security skills adaptable to any environment.
