About the Author

Holly Tuppen’s passion for travelling the world responsibly started in 2008 when she set off on an around-the-world-without-flying adventure. On her return, Holly began to spread the word about sustainable travel through marketing for Green Traveller and as editor of Green Hotelier. She was also Communications Manager at the International Tourism Partnership (ITP), helping to shape corporate social responsibility strategies for the world’s largest hotel chains. She is now a specialist in sustainable travel, creating content for The Long Run, the World Travel and Tourism Council, and the Association of British Travel Agents. Holly also writes for The Guardian, The Telegraph, Family Traveller, Suitcase Magazine, Conde Nast Traveller and Lonely Planet.
