This is an important book – its format is one all breeds should use to educate both breeders and judges. The photo-illustrations capture the concepts and why perfectly. The quizzes sharpen us on the exact passages, meanings in the standard, preps us for the AKC tests.

I wish every breed had a book like this written about the details and nuances of each, the why-for they are built as they are, with proper interpretations within the standard – if we did, we might see a lot less “generic show dog” judging and more help for each breed to advance its development towards its own correct perfection. I recommend this book to anyone thinking about breeding or judging MAS.
