Excerpt from The Omegan, Vol. 1: Theta Upsilon Omega; April 1924

I suppose that this letter should be in the nature of an inauguration address. The Convocation at Lewisburg was far too busy to listen to ad dresses, and those who should properly have given them were so weighed down by the pressure of necessary detail work as to be in poor frame of mind for delivering them. The Fraternity may rest assured. In spite of this lack. That those whom you have elected to Office in the Arch Chapter of Theta Upsilon Omega have a deep sense of honor, of privilege, and, above all, of responsibility. It is no small thing to administer a trust, particularly when there are precedents to be established and policies to be formulated which may be of lasting importance.

I am sure that I speak for the entire Arch Council when I promise you in all sincerity that our best efforts will be devoted to the attempt so to administer this trust that in December we may come before the Convocation with a consciousness of duty well-performed.
