THE OTHER DAYS looks at the reasons we lie to ourselves and those we love, and the measures we take in order to avoid our deepest fears and shame.  
Told through alternating perspectives, THE OTHER DAYS is a portrait of two sisters making the physical and emotional journey back to one another after nearly a decade apart.  
Thalia Athens, raised on both coasts by a single mother, has spent her adulthood close to home, and now helps run the family business: The Athens Hotel, an austere and storied Victorian gem on the secluded, dreamy coast of Maine.  When Thalia receives word that her younger sister, Cassia, is on her way home following an eight year absence — and that she has big news she intends to share — Thalia’s world is thrown into chaos.    Coinciding with the threat of Cassia’s return and its ensuing upheavals, Hildebrandt Treacy, a blocked writer and semi-permanent guest of The Athens, who is hiding out in Maine for his own clouded reasons, takes a liking to Thalia, and the two are drawn into a relationship that surprises both of them with its depth and intimacy.
Meanwhile, in Perth, Australia, Cassia Athens embarks on a weeklong trek across continents and oceans, navigating the implications of her recent failures in love and career, and the disappointing results of her search for her unknown father.  
As the sisters each traverse uncharted romantic territory and recover from wounds left by previous relationships, long-held family secrets are revealed, psychological breakthroughs are made, and the realities of everyone involved are rearranged into unimagined but promising new patterns.
