Turns out half the world thinks he walks on water, and the other half buys the clothes he shills. This is exactly what the President does not need right now. At my request, the police in Palm Beach will put off announcing details of the crime, including the name of the deceased, until tomorrow. But when they do, I can assure you, gentlemen, it will hit the fan.”

Ambassador Gannon shuddered.

“That’s why I’m throwing you directly into the eye of this shit storm, Hunt,” the Chief said. “With your background in polo, your West Point training, and what you’ve picked up working at the White House, your skill set could come in handy. Hell, it better come in handy. Who, when, why – I need answers, and I need them in time for the President’s Daily Briefing tomorrow morning.
