Ditewig, PhD, is Executive Director of the Secretariat for the Diaconate at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in Washington, D.C. and is the author of 101 Questions & Answers on Deacons (2004, Paulist Press). Richard R. Gaillardetz, PhD, is Murray/Balik Professor of Catholic Studies at the University of Toledo, Ohio. He is the author of six books, and a frequent contributor to Commonweal, America and other journals and magazines.
