Product Description

Your truth does not mean you are part of some kind of anti-Mormon or anti-Orthodox agenda. Being open about your life experiences is not hate speech against a church. You own your story. No one can tell you that your experiences and perceptions and thoughts aren’t real. Sometimes our souls are so big and powerful that they cannot be contained by religion. Sometimes our purpose is so far-reaching that no organization can contain us. Sometimes the Godliest thing to do is to be true to ourselves.

Do you ever wonder what decisions will shape your destiny? For Lindsay, one of those decisions was made at the young age of thirteen, when she converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints–known to the world as “the Mormon church.” Over the course of a decade, Lindsay would take a journey into one of the most secretive and powerful religious organizations in the world. A journey that would cause her to lose her true self as she submitted to the controversial teachings, culture and doctrine of the Mormon church. Little did she know that two people would come into her life and take her on a new journey. A journey back to herself.

This is her story.

Review

“Vixen” is so much more than a story of a woman who leaves the Mormon Church, it’s a journey of self-discovery & self-love, it’s a first-hand account of heartache and healing, it’s a poignant message of what can happen when a woman steps outside the expectations that have been set
for her and steps wholly into her true self. Lindsay’s writing is captivating, immersive, and relatable. Even if her specific circumstances differ from yours, I have every confidence that “Vixen” will leave you inspired & empowered to step wholly into your true self.

Powerful in its honesty, its vulnerability, and its language, this book took me by the hand and helped me confront so much of what I myself had gone through in the purity culture of orthodox religion. As you travel through Lindsay’s story, you will shake your fists, you will laugh, and more than anything, you will step out of the pages of this book with a newfound appreciation for your own innate magic as a human being. Vixen is a must-read, and a must-share.
