About the Author
David Blevins is a nature photographer and forest ecologist. His work is inspired by an appreciation of the natural patterns found in what at first seems to be a chaotic world.
Michael P. Schafale has worked as a community ecologist for the North Carolina Natural Heritage Program for twenty-seven years, focusing on the classification, tracking, conservation, and stewardship of natural communities.
