Samsung Rolls Out Fix for Custom Themes Glitch on Keyboard in One UI 6.1 Update!

In a significant move to augment user experience, Samsung has announced its plans to rectify an ongoing issue where custom themes, created via its Theme Park application for the Samsung Keyboard, do not fully apply on some devices if the ‘Color Palette’ feature in One UI is activated. This feature, designed to enhance user customization by allowing color palette selection for various UI elements, has inadvertently affected the full application of custom themes on the Samsung Keyboard, leaving users with partially applied themes.

The issue came to light following a complaint on Samsung’s Community forum by a user of the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The user reported that upon applying a custom theme to their Samsung Keyboard using the Theme Park app, the theme was only applied in parts, with the rest of the keyboard displaying different, unintended colors. A moderator on the platform responded to the complaint, clarifying that the incomplete theme application was due to the ‘Color Palette’ option being enabled. The moderator further reassured that Samsung acknowledges this problem and is gearing up to address it in the upcoming One UI 6.1 update.

The anticipation for One UI 6.1 stems from its promise to resolve the theme application issue, among other enhancements. Interestingly, devices that are already operating on One UI 6.1, such as the Galaxy S24 series and a select few others, have been reported to be free from this specific issue. This development has been welcomed by users who utilize Theme Park for personalizing their Samsung Keyboard, underscoring Samsung’s commitment to refining user experience through software updates.

Currently, several devices including the Galaxy Z Fold 4, are yet to receive the One UI 6.1 update and thus, continue to face challenges with Theme Park custom themes. Users of these devices are hopeful that the One UI 6.1 rollout will soon extend to their gadgets, eradicating the theme application dilemma. In tandem with addressing this software hiccup, Samsung has also rolled out an update for the Theme Park application itself, signaling ongoing improvements and enhancements aimed at delivering a seamless user experience.

This progression underscores Samsung’s responsive approach toward user feedback and its dedication to refining the functionality and user satisfaction of its software offerings. As users eagerly await the One UI 6.1 update across a wider spectrum of devices, the anticipation is not just for a resolution to the Theme Park issue but also for a broader elevation in the overall user experience facilitated by Samsung’s software ecosystem.
