The Combined Strength Of Web2, Web3: Google Cloud Joins Forces With Web3Auth – Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG), Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL)

Google Cloud has partnered with Web3Auth to launch a new Firebase extension aimed at helping businesses transition smoothly to Web3. Web3Auth, which has backing from investors such as Sequoia Capital, Union Square Ventures, and Binance, will work with Google Cloud to provide existing businesses and applications on Firebase with the ability to onboard their users onto Web3.

The launch of the Web3 extension on the Firebase Extensions Hub will enable businesses to merge Web3 capabilities both on the frontend and backend. This means that users’ email addresses, full names, Ethereum addresses, and UIDs can be aggregated by applications to obtain user demographics and find look-alike audiences.

Web3Auth’s Multi-Party Computation (MPC) will allow users to generate a public-private key pair, enabling them to own a self-custodial Web3 wallet. The platform will offer user logins through familiar social logins such as email, SMS OTPs, and biometric IDs. The login process will be smooth, with global latency times below 1.5 seconds, meeting enterprise-grade standards.

The collaboration between Web3Auth and Google Cloud will leverage Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) for autoscaling capabilities and Cloud Armor for network security against DDoS and application attacks. This ensures a robust and secure infrastructure for the Web3 extension.

Zhen Yu Yong, co-founder and CEO of Web3Auth, highlights the creation of a multiregion cloud infrastructure to support global demand and deliver an easy user experience for both Web2-centric applications and Web3-native dApps. This partnership aims to combine the strengths of Web2 and Web3, recognizing that future internet applications will benefit from the integration of both technologies.

Mitesh Agarwal, Managing Director of Solutions and Technology for Asia Pacific at Google Cloud, applauds the launch of the Web3 extension by Web3Auth. He emphasizes the importance of leveraging Google Cloud’s capabilities to provide seamless and secure Web3 experiences.

As Google Cloud continues to expand its presence in the Web3 and crypto space, interested parties can find out more by attending the Benzinga Future of Digital Assets event on November 14. This event will feature Rich Widmann, Head of Strategy and Web3 at Google Cloud, who will speak about Web3 Innovations and Google’s role in scaling blockchain solutions for mass market integration.

The collaboration between Google Cloud and Web3Auth represents a significant step towards bridging the gap between Web2 and Web3 technologies. By providing businesses with the tools and infrastructure needed to transition to Web3, this partnership is poised to drive innovation and adoption in the crypto space.
