Upgraded processing power for KC-46A refueling system to be supplied by Mercury Systems

ANDOVER, Massachusetts. Mercury Methods gained a contract from Boeing to ship FPGA processor boards for the U.S. Air Pressure’s KC-46A tanker fleet, the corporate introduced in a press release.

The boards will help the next-generation Distant Imaginative and prescient System (RVS) 2.0, which boosts the refueling course of by offering high-resolution, colour video feeds from cameras on the plane, the corporate says.

Beneath the brand new contract, Mercury will ship round 1,500 manufacturing boards to equip the RVS 2.0 on KC-46A plane for each U.S. and allied forces. Mercury has already equipped boards for growth testing, the assertion provides.
